The purpose of the Data Analytics Team Lead (Insurance Claims) role is essential in driving optimizations in our claims processes through robust data analysis and strategic insights.
Responsibilities
A team lead who is able to manage a team of 3 data analyst, analyse insurance claims data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies and carry out day to day operations of the team.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and analytic strategies to enhance statistical quality and efficiency.
Assist in prioritizing business needs alongside management to better inform decision-making.
Generate and manage detailed reports to track key metrics and performance indicators.
Collaborate with IT and actuarial teams to improve data collection and quality.
Translate complex data sets into understandable and actionable reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Design predictive models and algorithms to aid in decision-making.
Handle ad-hoc data analysis to answer specific business questions and provide insight.
Maintain the highest standards of data confidentiality and security.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Proven 3 – 4 years’ experience handling a team as a data analyst or business data analyst, preferably within the insurance sector.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Power BI for robust data querying and reporting.
Experience with Alteryx is highly desirable is considered an added value.
Familiarity with statistical Excel and data visualization tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
