Job summary

We are currently recruiting for a Data & Analytics Analyst covering Asia Pacific (APAC) & Middle East & Africa (MEA), which will be a 1-year fixed term contract position. This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate master data, generating Power BI & Power Query reports relating to Planning processes. The role ensures data accuracy and integrity in critical master data such as SAP ECC Material Master, Bill of Material, Purchasing Info Record, Sourcing List and APO master data such as Product Location, Transportation Lane, PDS and Resource.

This role will be reporting to the Inventory & Data Analytics Lead for APAC & MEA and will be a key team member of the Planning Service Centre, based out of Petaling Jaya.

A day in the life

This role will be responsible for the following key deliverables:

Master Data Management
  • Manage master data creation, extension and maintenance for data objects such as SAP ECC Material master, Purchase info record, Bill of Material, Sourcing list and SAP APO data objects such as Product Location, Transportation Lane, Quota arrangement, PDS and Resource
  • Manage data update through SAP bespoke program.
  • Manage data extraction from SAP tables.
  • Understand other SAP ECC Data objects from O2C, P2P, Finance.
Data Integration
  • Understand master data integration through SAP Core Interface (CIF).
  • Utilize SAP, Excel and Power BI reports to generate and validate data.
  • Manage data update through BOT/ RPA Process/ PowerApps.
  • Support data migration during project or system upgrade (eg S/4 HANA, IBP Data).
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements.
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners to ensure alignment of master data process.
  • Ensure Master data compliance with relevant standards according to GSOP.
  • Identify improvement related to Planning master data.
Key Metrics
  • Data Accuracy: Measures the correctness of master data creation/ extension. High accuracy ensures reliable business planning.
  • Report Timeliness: Tracks the time taken to generate and deliver reports. Faster report generation supports timely decision-making.
  • Query Response Time: Measures the time taken to respond to data queries/SKU setup. Shorter response times enhance operational efficiency.
Accountability
  • Process Adherence: Regularly review master data to ensure align with global standards.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to assess compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback to identify and address process inefficiencies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment of process and data requirement.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure processes comply with regulations and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in SAP Supply Chain Master Data Management with Supply Planning Experience and understanding.
  • Prior experience with a supply environment that leverages SAP ECC/APO. SAP IBP & S/4 Hana is a plus.
  • Foundation knowledge on Power BI / Power Query is mandatory.
  • Master Data and interface Management.
  • Proficient in analyzing datasets and adept at effectively communicating insights to drive informed decision-making.
