Responsibilities

• Analytics & Insights
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and KPIs.
  • Translate business questions into data models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Deliver actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Power BI Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Build optimized data models using star/snowflake schemas.
  • Write advanced DAX measures and calculations.
  • Implement best practices for:
    • Performance optimization
    • Row-Level Security (RLS)
    • Incremental refresh
  • Ensure consistent UX, visual standards, and data storytelling.
• Azure Data Platform
  • Work with Azure-based data sources including:
    • Azure Synapse Analytics
    • Azure SQL Database
    • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
    • Azure Databricks (read/consume curated datasets)
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to:
    • Define analytical data requirements
    • Validate data pipelines and transformations
    • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
• Data Modeling & SQL
  • Apply data governance and security standards including:
    • Role-based access control
    • Data sensitivity and compliance requirements
  • Document dashboards, datasets, KPIs, and definitions.
  • Support self-service BI adoption across the organization.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or reporting roles.
• Expert-level Power BI skills, including:
  • Advanced DAX
  • Data Modeling
  • Performance tuning
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Hands-on experience working with Azure data platforms, including:
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
