YOUR TASKS
  • Portray a professional, courteous and helpful attitude in all dealings with internal and external customers.
  • Deal with the Imports Department, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
  • Provide the DHL finance department with guidelines in relation to the payment and collection of duties and taxes.
  • Assist other departments with technical advice or presentations as required.
  • Liaise with Customs to resolve disputes, claims, and queries.
  • Ensure that entries are cleared in accordance with Customs compliance agreements.
  • Prioritise the clearance flow to achieve the fastest transit time possible.
  • Maximise pre‑clearance opportunities in accordance with established service guidelines.
  • Ensure clearance authority is held, and clearance is completed in accordance with the owner’s instructions.
  • Ensure that correct lodgement declarations are made on behalf of customers, satisfying the legislation set by customs, VAT laws, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information in the customer database.
