Job description
Credit Risk/Analyst (Senior Manager/AVP)

Risk Assessment on Credit Proposal:

  • to assess credit risk by providing independent credit risk assessment to the approving authority on new / existing banking / insurance / treasury proposal including annual review / watchlist review / R&R proposal
  • overlook process relating to rating using the Bank's credit rating tools (CRMS) for the Bank's prospective obligors, including project owners and sovereign entities

Due Diligence on External Parties:

  • to conduct independent due diligence and review on related parties that involved in transactions with the Bank's customer as requested by CAD or Banking Division
  • to ensure the due diligence and review on related parties are consistent and in adherence to relevant Bank's Guidelines and Policies particularly with regards to AML/CFT concerns

Risk Assessment on Operational Risk and Credit Risk Variations:

  • to conduct independent review on operational or credit variations requests as submitted by Banking Division or CAD for approvals are in accordance with latest Approving Authorities and Approving Limits of the Bank.
  • to ensure that the variation requests are in accordance with all Bank's Policies and Guidelines and to highlight any concerns that can materially increase credit risk to the Bank

Review on Significant Increase in Checklist Risk (SICR):

  • to conduct independent review on SICR (Watchlist and Impairment) submitted by Banking Division for all financing accounts with the Bank.
  • to liaise with Banking Division on pertinent issues relating to the financing portfolio and to verify and recommend status of the accounts

Periodic Monitoring on Risk Rating:

  • to undertake periodic review on risk rating of financing accounts as and when required by external auditors or the Management.
  • to liaise with Banking Division for necessary re-rating of the accounts as required by the Management or whenever the account has deteriorated to establish present risk position and to allow for accurate reporting on the Bank’s portfolio / ECL position.

  • Significant experience (6- 8 years) in credit risk analysis, credit risk management, or a related field within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make well-informed credit decisions
  • Proficiency in credit risk modelling, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to senior management
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Thorough understanding of banking regulations, credit risk management principles, and industry best practices
