Handal Capital, a leading financial services provider in Malaysia, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Executive to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. As a Credit Executive, you will play a crucial role in the company's credit management process, responsible for evaluating credit applications, analysing financial information, and making informed decisions to support the growth and profitability of our business.

What you'll be doing

Assessing credit applications and conducting thorough risk analysis to determine the creditworthiness of potential borrowers

Gathering and analysing financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections, to evaluate the applicant's financial stability and repayment ability

Negotiating credit terms and conditions with applicants, ensuring the company's interests are protected while providing competitive and tailored solutions

Monitoring and managing existing credit accounts, identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate actions to mitigate them

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as sales and operations, to streamline the credit approval process and enhance the overall customer experience

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all credit-related activities and decisions

Staying informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit management to continuously improve the company's policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a credit or risk management role within the banking or financial services industry. Fresh grads are welcome too.

Minimum of a diploma or degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or any related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and identify potential credit risks

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to both internal and external stakeholders

Proficiency in using credit assessment tools and software, as well as data analysis and reporting
