Credit Assessment & Review - SME Banking Division
  • Process, evaluate, and complete the Memorandum of Approval (MA) / Credit Proposal for new and enhancement financing applications.
  • Mitigate issues raised by the Credit Management Division to ensure smooth application processing.
  • Present credit proposals and seek approval from the Financing Committee.
  • Prepare Guarantee Notification Requests for SJPP.
  • Draft Letters of Offer (LO) for submission to the SMT.
  • Conduct rigorous business credit assessments and thorough financial analysis.
  • Communicate proactively with SMT to ensure timely and accurate document submission.
  • Ensure all submissions comply with the bank’s risk appetite and credit policies.
  • Adhere to standard turnaround times (TAT) for credit evaluation processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date market awareness and monitor industry trends relevant to credit risk.
  • Detect and report any fraudulent documents or misinformation during credit assessment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Credit Management team to identify, assess, and mitigate credit risks.
  • Maintain structured tracking and documentation of assigned accounts and proposals.
  • Engage with SME Banking and other relevant divisions to resolve credit-related issues effectively.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Present credit proposals to the Financing Committee (Committee A & B) for decision-making.
  • Prepare and conduct annual review papers and ad hoc credit assessments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in banking, preferably in sales & marketing, credit processing, or credit evaluation.
  • Strong product knowledge related to credit processing, credit evaluation, documentation, and Shariah compliance.
  • Proficient in credit assessment and risk evaluation techniques.
  • Solid understanding of financial statement analysis.
  • Ability to accurately assess and mitigate credit risks.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with excellent service skills.
  • Resourceful, creative, and able to work independently to solve problems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and customers.
