Job description

The role involves sourcing parts, managing RFQs, collecting quotations, comparing costs, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting internal teams on procurement and cost-reduction tasks to achieve consistent savings while maintaining quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Execute cost-down tasks assigned by request the quotations from selected suppliers, prepare organized cost comparison sheets and update cost-down trackers.

Follow up closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quotes, and required information.

Support negotiation activities by gathering cost breakdowns and benchmarking prices.

Compile data for BOM costing, sourcing lists, and cost tracking reports.

Maintain proper documentation of quotes, supplier contacts, and project files.

Follow up on open items to ensure timely closure.

Work closely with engineering, planning, and procurement teams for cost-down analysis and supplier selection.

Coordinate internal discussions between engineering and procurement for cost down purposes.

Communicate cost-down status updates to internal teams during meetings or through email.

Support ad-hoc cost-reduction tasks assigned by cost down team.

Requirements

Diploma or higher in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Fresh graduate or candidate without related experience are welcome to apply, as training and guidance will be provided.

Good communication skills and willingness to deal with various parties, ie. suppliers.

Strong willingness to learn, good attitude, and proactive working style.

Able to organize data, compare costs, and compile reports.

Preferred Qualities

Interest in electronics hardware, sourcing, or procurement work.

Proficiency in Microsoft office (excel, word, access) / Google Sheets knowledge for cost comparison.

Curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable with follow-ups.

Proficient in mandarin, English, and Malay and able to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking supplier (spoken and written)
