An established multinational manufacturer of premium consumer products is looking for a hands‑on Industrial Cost Controller to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high‑performing regional business that values continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.

About the Role

As the Industrial Cost Controller, you will act as a strategic finance partner to the Plant Manager and Operations leadership team. You will oversee plant financial performance, drive cost visibility, and provide actionable insights to improve manufacturing efficiency, cost control and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with plant and operations teams to analyze production performance and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of standard costing and perform periodic reviews of cost structures and variances.
  • Conduct financial analysis and performance reporting, including dashboards, KPIs and manufacturing efficiency metrics.
  • Lead monthly closing for manufacturing activities such as WIP, production variances and scrap analysis.
  • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the plant, consolidating inputs from production, maintenance, purchasing and supply chain.
  • Support CAPEX and investment analysis, monitoring returns and budget adherence.
  • Analyze inventory and material consumption variances, ensuring proper stock valuation and cost allocation.
  • Participate in internal control and compliance reviews to maintain strong financial governance and adherence to corporate policies.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in costing or management accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, production processes and industrial performance analysis.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (preferably Oracle or JDE), Excel and BI reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross‑functionally with operations and management teams.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
