Job Responsibilities:
Contracting lawyers at the company are tasked with coordinating and delivering legal, contract, and commercial counsel to support the business. Their responsibilities include identifying, managing, and mitigating contractual risk, ensuring ethical behavior, and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. They provide guidance and negotiate contracts by leveraging commercial and market-relevant positions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing, drafting, negotiating various types of contractual agreements in a fast‑paced corporate environment. This may include master services agreements, outsourcing agreements, statements of work, service level agreements, licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, data transfer agreements, requests for proposals, and agreements involving cloud, blockchain security, applied intelligence, systems integration, and agile development.
  • Collaborating with more senior contracting lawyers to support more complex contracts and deal structures.
  • Acting as a knowledgeable and relevant advisor on legal and commercial risks associated with transactions and continuously evolving in this role.
  • Structuring, negotiating, and closing client transactions to be most advantageous from a legal and business perspective, independently and with assistance.
  • Strategizing with senior contracting lawyers and internal business clients prior to client negotiations.
  • Staying informed about developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and incorporating this information into the company’s transactional practices.
  • Educating and advising company executives on legal and risk management issues.
  • Developing subject matter expertise in one or more areas that benefit the legal department and/or the business.
  • Participating in developing internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge capital on various legal and business issues.
  • Supporting, promoting, and implementing legal initiatives within the company.
  • Embracing and evolving to gain expertise in seven contracting attributes, including becoming a pathfinder, an architect, as well as a business‑minded, nonconformist, inspired, relevant, and technology‑enabled contracting lawyer.

Education and Experience Information:

  • Required education includes an .
  • A minimum of 2 years of transactional experience in digital, consulting, systems integration, and/or outsourcing areas in roles with increasing responsibility is required. This experience should be gained in a law firm or a fast‑paced in‑house role in a relevant industry.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience negotiating intellectual property and data privacy issues is also required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • A proven negotiator with an understanding of principle‑based negotiation strategy and tactics, including the ability to present alternatives with proposed solutions.
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transactions independently.
  • Experience in negotiating and drafting technology‑based agreements.
  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, marketing, and management.
  • Strong executive presence.
  • Good understanding of contracting and risk issues, including intellectual property, as they apply to digital, consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing transactions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia or Thai language is a bonus.
