Role Overview

This is a leadership and business-driven role. The successful candidate will manage conveyancing matters end-to-end while actively engaging clients, generating work, and expanding the firm’s conveyancing portfolio. The role requires hands‑on legal expertise combined with the ability to market legal services, close engagements, and maintain long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities / Job Description

Legal & Technical

  • Lead and manage residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including sub-sales, developer projects, perfection of transfer and charge, and loan documentation.
  • Draft, review, and advise on Sale & Purchase Agreements, loan agreements, assignments, charges, caveats, and related documents.
  • Provide strategic advice on land title issues, due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor associates, conveyancing clerks, and support staff.

Sales, Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Actively engage with clients, property agents, bankers, developers, and corporate partners to generate new conveyancing work.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and consultations, both online and in person.
  • Convert enquiries into instructions through professional consultation and follow‑up.
  • Maintain and grow an existing client and referral network.
  • Participate in branding, networking events, talks, or collaborations to enhance the firm’s market presence.
  • Work closely with partners to develop business growth strategies and revenue targets.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with valid practicing certificate.
  • Minimum 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience in conveyancing and property law.
  • Demonstrated sales‑engagement experience, including client pitching, onboarding, and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage conveyancing files, develop and retain clients, and consistently bring in at least five (5) sales cases per month.
  • Strong commercial awareness and results‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin or other languages is an advantage.
  • Leadership qualities with experience supervising teams.
