Job description

The Controller is responsible for monitoring and managing closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and premises. This role involves real-time surveillance, incident detection, accurate reporting, and liaising with security personnel and law enforcement as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor multiple CCTV cameras and surveillance systems in real-time.
  • Identify and respond to suspicious or unusual activities promptly.
  • Maintain constant awareness of all monitored locations and communicate security risks to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate with Response Officer / on-site security teams to investigate incidents or potential threats.
  • Record all significant incidents and maintain accurate logs and reports.
  • Ensure all surveillance equipment is operational and report any technical faults or maintenance needs.
  • Provide video footage to law enforcement or internal departments as needed, following data protection and privacy protocols.
  • Adhere to all company policies and local legal regulations regarding CCTV use and data handling.
  • Participate in periodic audits, system tests, and training sessions.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or IT certifications are a plus.
  • Prior experience in a security or monitoring role preferred.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
