Job description

We are seeking a talented Contract Executive to join our team in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. In this full-time position, you will play a role in managing and administering construction contracts, ensuring seamless project delivery and successful outcomes for our clients.

What you’ll be doing
  • Taking off quantities, preparation of cost estimates, and project cost control
  • Tender costing, analysis of tender documents, and preparation of tender submissions
  • Pre-contract works including reviewing scope of work, sourcing suppliers and sub-contractors, and evaluating quotations
  • Post-contract administration including variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts
  • Site measurement and verification of work done for claim purposes
  • Assessment of sub-contractor claims and certification of payments
  • Preparation of Letter of Award (LOA), Certificate of Payment (COP), and contractual correspondence
  • Monitoring project budget, cost performance, and potential cost overrun risks
  • Maintaining proper documentation for all contract-related matters
  • Coordinating with project team, consultants, clients, and sub-contractors on cost, claims, and contractual issues
  • Monitoring project progress for valuation and payment purposes
  • Assisting in Extension of Time (EOT) evaluation and contract compliance matters
  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, guidelines and best practices in contract management
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective contract administration
What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Contracts Management / QS / Construction industry or any related field
  • Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Landscape Architect or related discipline preferred
  • Experience in landscape projects will be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of contract administration, variation orders, progress claims and record-keeping
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic contract costing
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently
  • Good communication and coordination skills
