Join the Amazing Borneo Team! We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Content Writer to bring Amazing Borneo’s stories, tours, and experiences to life through words. If you love travel, storytelling, and creating content that informs, inspires, and converts, this role is for you. You’ll be writing across multiple platforms — from website pages and articles to social media captions and short‑form scripts — helping travellers discover why Borneo is a destination worth experiencing.

Your Role

Content Writing & Development

• Write and optimise content for websites, landing pages, tour pages, and blog articles
• Create engaging scripts for short videos, reels, TikToks, and promotional content
• Develop social media captions and copy that drive interest, engagement, and traffic
• Support content needs for campaigns, promotions, and special projects

Website & SEO Content

• Write SEO‑friendly content aligned with search intent and target keywords
• Update and refine existing website content to improve clarity, accuracy, and performance
• Ensure content is informative, structured, and user‑friendly for travellers

Brand Voice & Storytelling

• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all written materials
• Translate travel experiences, destinations, and itineraries into compelling stories
• Adapt tone and style based on platform (website, social media, ads, articles)

Content Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, design, and operations teams to align content with visuals and campaigns
• Support influencer, PR, and partnership content with copy and messaging when required
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative content ideas

Content Planning & Coordination

• Assist in planning content calendars for website updates, blogs, and social media
• Ensure content is delivered on time and meets quality standardsHelp manage revisions and feedback efficiently

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related fields
• 1–2 years of writing experience (travel, lifestyle, tourism, or digital content is an advantage). Fresh graduates with strong writing samples are welcome
• Strong writing and editing skills in English (Proficiency in Chinese and/or Malay is a plus)
• Familiar with SEO basics, content structure, and digital publishing
• Able to write for different formats: long‑form articles, short captions, and video scripts
