About the role

Reporting to the Construction Director, this Construction Project Manager role is a fantastic opportunity to join Oriental United Construction Sdn Bhd, a leading construction firm in Menglembu Perak. In this full‑time position, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This role is based in project site and Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur office.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, schedules and budgets
• Coordinating and managing all on‑site construction activities, including subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Ensuring projects comply with all relevant building codes, safety regulations and company policies
• Reporting on project status to senior management and clients
• Providing leadership and mentorship to the project team
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in the commercial or residential construction industry
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement detailed project plans
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors and the project team
• Proficient in using project management software and other construction‑related technology
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
