A construction management firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee construction projects from planning through to completion. This role demands strong leadership and technical expertise, overseeing site operations, budgets, and stakeholder management while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from planning through to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage site operations, budgets, timelines, and stakeholders effectively while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Project Planning & Management
Lead construction projects from initiation to completion.
Review and approve project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocations.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets.
Site Supervision
Supervise and inspect site activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Monitor subcontractors and site personnel to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, suppliers, and local authorities.
Conduct and facilitate regular site meetings.
Proactively update stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues.
Resource Management
Manage and optimize the use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Approve procurement requisitions, delivery schedules, and material inspections.
Cost & Quality Control
Monitor construction costs and implement cost-control measures.
Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and review progress reports, site diaries, method statements, and risk assessments.
Maintain proper project documentation for internal reporting and audits.
Ensure compliance with company standards, ISO requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Safety Compliance
Implement site safety plans and conduct regular safety briefings.
Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Cross-Department Coordination
Coordinate with internal departments, external consultants, contractors, and government agencies for submissions and approvals.
Assist in tendering and contract administration when required.
Provide leadership and mentorship to site engineers, supervisors, and support staff.
Ensure timely completion of snagging works and project handovers.
Represent the company professionally with clients, consultants, and authorities.
Attend training, workshops, and company initiatives as required.
Perform additional duties as directed by Management.
Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar senior site management role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
