A prominent organization in Gombak, Malaysia is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Manager to develop competitive salary structures and manage employee benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related fields, with 5-8 years of experience in compensation and benefits management. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with labor laws, designing benefits programs, and analyzing data for informed HR decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of Malaysian payroll regulations.
Develop and maintain competitive salary structures and grading systems aligned with market trends and business objectives.
Conduct salary surveys, benchmarking, and analysis to ensure competitiveness.
Provide guidance and recommendations on compensation policies, incentives, and performance-linked rewards.
Design, implement, and manage employee benefits programs, including medical, insurance, retirement, leave, wellness, and other fringe benefits.
Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefits packages to remain competitive.
Administer benefits programs efficiently and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. Work closely with the HR Operations team to ensure the records are well-kept.
Serve as the primary liaison with external benefits providers and insurance companies.
Develop and maintain HR policies related to compensation and benefits.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, taxation requirements, and statutory regulations.
Support audits and regulatory reporting related to compensation and benefits.
Prepare regular reports on compensation and benefits metrics, trends, and recommendations.
Analyze data to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide management with insights to support strategic HR decision-making, especially in reviewing compensation and benefits.
Communicate compensation and benefits programs effectively to employees.
Provide guidance and advice to management and staff on compensation-related matters.
Support employee engagement initiatives and ensure alignment with company values.
Manage salary reviews, promotions, and adjustment processes in collaboration with department heads.
Propose to the increment and performance bonus based on best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in compensation and benefits management.
Individual with Retail background would have added advantage.
Core Knowledge inCompensation structures (pay grades, bands), benefits (medical, insurance), market benchmarking, job evaluation, legal compliance (labor laws, tax).
Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, payroll regulations, and benefits administration.
Proficiency in HRIS, Excel, and reporting tools. Master of skills in quantitative data and massaging.
Analytical skills- able to extract, summarise and propose the best C&B packages
Have basic financial acumen- Competence in budgeting, cost forecasting, and analyzing the ROI of reward programs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
