Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a CNC Auto Lathe Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC machines. The ideal candidate has a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 1 year of experience. Responsibilities include operating basic machine tools, reading mechanical drawings, and ensuring product specifications are met. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in CNC Auto-lathe machine operation.
• Intermediate knowledge of cutting tools used in CNC machining.
• Ability to read/edit NC Programming, understanding M-Code and G-Code is a bonus.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To set up and operate CNC Auto Lathe Machine.
• To set up, adjust and operate all the basic machine tools & parts.
• Intermediate knowledge of cutting tools and other accessories used on CNC machines.
• Can read/edit NC Programming and also understand in M-Code and G-Code is a bonus.
• To understand the specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading mechanical drawings.
• Understand product drawings and can produce parts from drawings.
• Measure and verify that products meet specifications using precision tools.
• Utilize measuring equipment used in the industry such as calipers, micrometers, height gage and other measuring equipment needed to complete work.
• Able to adjust machine processes and tooling to optimize cycle time and maintain process control as well as CNC editing on shop floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/ Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in CNC Auto-lathe machine.
• Independent and able to work under a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
