Job summary

A technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to deploy, manage, and monitor AWS-based services. The candidate should have strong skills in Linux system administration, analytical troubleshooting, and managing MySQL/MariaDB databases. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and AWS certifications are a plus. The ideal professional will be proactive in optimizing cloud infrastructure performance and costs, ensuring system reliability.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based servers and services, primarily on Amazon Web Services (AWS)


• Proactively monitor and analyze system and network performance, identifying opportunities for optimization


• Manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructure, including configuration, patching, and automation


• Administer relational databases, primarily MySQL/MariaDB


• Implement system monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools to ensure system reliability


• Evaluate and adopt new cloud technologies to improve performance, reliability, and security


• Collaborate closely with software engineers to streamline CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) workflows


• Optimize and manage cloud infrastructure costs

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure components


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills


• Hands‑on experience with Linux system administration, Shell scripting, Nginx configuration and tuning, MySQL/MariaDB performance and security, and AWS cloud services (\"e.g.,\" EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, etc.)


• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (\"e.g.,\" Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) is a strong advantage


• Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (\"e.g.,\" ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes) is a plus


• AWS certifications (\"e.g.,\" Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are a strong plus, but not mandatory


• Familiarity with cost monitoring tools (\"e.g.,\" AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets) is an advantage
