Requirements Must‑Have
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an accounting role with team leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of full‑set accounts and accounting principles
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team
- Hands‑on experience with cloud accounting software (Xero required; Bukku is a strong advantage)
- Proficient in English, Malay, and Mandarin (spoken and written)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skillsSelf‑driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a hybrid environment
- Possession of personal transportation
Nice‑to‑Have (Highly Advantageous)
- Experience in accounting firms or outsourced accounting environments
- Familiarity with cloud integrations (e.g., payroll, POS, inventory, e‑commerce platforms)
- Basic understanding of Malaysian tax compliance (SST, income tax, audit support)
- Experience in process automation or digital transformation projects
- Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA) – an added advantage
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and coach a team of cloud accountants and senior executives
- Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards
- Assign workloads, monitor performance, and support team members’ professional development
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results‑driven team culture
Cloud Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage and complete full sets of accounts using cloud accounting software
- Accurately record all financial transactions in a timely manner
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and bank reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of accounts
Integration & Process Improvement
- Lead the implementation and integration of cloud accounting solutions for diverse businesses
- Ensure seamless integration with other cloud‑based systems (e.g., invoicing, payroll, inventory, CRM)
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency
Stakeholder & Compliance Management
- Act as the main liaison with auditors and tax agents on an annual basis
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls
- Provide clear and accurate financial data to stakeholders when required
