A healthcare facility in Malaysia is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to assess and provide psychological interventions for clients. The role involves formulating case conceptualizations, monitoring client progress, and supporting integrated care. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's or PhD in Clinical Psychology, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Managerial experience is preferred, along with appropriate licenses and certifications.
Assessing client’s cognitive, emotional, and/or adaptive functioning, as well as client’s needs
Formulating case formulation or conceptualization on client’s condition(s); as well as clinical impression, if needed.
Providing psychoeducation and recommendation(s) to client and/or caregiver regarding client’s condition(s).
Providing evidence-based psychological intervention(s) to address client and/or caregiver’s concerns.
Assessing and managing suicide risk as per department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Monitoring client’s progress in each follow-up session.
Documenting clinical notes.
Writing client’s assessment report.
Supporting integrated and holistic care for client
Ensuring efficient clinic operation, e.g. adequate materials, safe space for client’s privacy, timely and accurate documentation, filing of records and billing of clients for each session.
Lead in clinical & quality assurance for Clinical Psychology Department, monitor and maintain its effectiveness so as to fulfill accreditation or regulatory requirements eg. MOH, MSQH, ACHS and JCI standards.
Education Level: Bachelor of Psychology; Master of Clinical Psychology / PhD in Clinical Psychology
Licenses & Certifications: Registered Allied Health Professional; and Full member of MSCP
Working Experience: Minimum 5 years of related working experience (Managerial experience is preferred)
