The Clinical Application Manager is responsible for leading a team of Application Specialists in delivering high-quality clinical education, training, and support for the company’s medical device portfolio. This role ensures that clinical and technical training programs are systematically developed, effectively executed, and aligned with the needs of healthcare professionals. The incumbent plays a key role in enhancing user proficiency, strengthening customer satisfaction, and supporting overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Application Specialists to ensure excellence in clinical education and customer support.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support professional development for team members.
- Oversee team scheduling, resource allocation, and workload management to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
B. Clinical Education Program Development
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance clinical training programs, workshops, and learning materials for medical devices.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Clinical Affairs to ensure training content reflects current product updates and industry standards.
- Create and maintain high-quality educational resources, including user manuals, presentations, and digital learning modules.
C. Customer and Field Support
- Provide advanced clinical support, including troubleshooting and resolving complex device‑related issues.
- Conduct product demonstrations, hands‑on training, and clinical workflow consultations for healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to support product launches, clinical evaluations, and promotional activities.
D. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Regulatory, Quality Assurance, and Clinical Affairs teams to ensure training content adheres to compliance and industry requirements.
- Collect insights from field interactions to identify training gaps and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
E. Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs using KPIs such as participant feedback, assessment results, and clinical adoption rates.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, covering training outcomes, team performance, and customer satisfaction trends.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Sciences/Medical Imaging or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in clinical applications within the medical device industry, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Advanced product knowledge and strong expertise in Radiology product modalities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to customer service and sales support.
- Relevant experience and training in the medical or healthcare industry.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Willing to travel frequently for outstation assignments.
