Inviting applications for the role of Claims Quality Assurance Auditor – Claims Performance
The purpose of the Claims Quality Assurance Auditor role is essential in driving improvements & optimizations in our claims processes through robust data analysis and strategic insights.
Perform a given number of quality audits across all line of business such as Marine, Casualty, Property, Crisis Management, Reinsurance and many more.
Prepare monthly reports on claims performance based on quality assurance audits and various other reporting such as static claims, KPI report based on feedback from claim managers, incoming complaints, etc.
Analyse insurance claims data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Generate and manage detailed reports to track key metrics and performance indicators.
Translate complex data sets into understandable and actionable reports for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Maintain the highest standards of data confidentiality and security.
ACII, AMII, ANZIIF, Diploma in Insurance or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field i.e. Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science.
3‑5 years of experience with assessing, handling, negotiating, adjusting, and settling claims, preferably insurance or reinsurance claims that are large commercial losses of at least USD/GBP 50,000 and that involve complex coverage investigations and complex quantum investigations and disputes. It is a preference that the candidate has vast casualty / liability experience.
Candidate must be willing to learn other all classes of business, for example Marine (Hull, Cargo, and Liability), Aviation, and various Property and Liability products.
Candidate must have at least some experience with quality assurance, for example peer reviews or previous experience in a Quality Assurance role that involves Open File Reviews (OFR) and Closed File Reviews (CFR), including determining any leakage.
The candidate will attend 2‑3 months training, which includes training in the quality assurance (OFR and CFR) methodology, weighting, and scoring, as well as calibration with the Head of QA.
The role is responsible for carrying out OFRs and CFRs for 15‑25 claims adjusters as well as identifying root causes, articulating insights, and developing action plans for the individual adjusters. Approximately 70‑80% of the day is spent on reviews and scoring of claims files.
The role reports to the KL based QA Manager, and the role plays an important part in the continuous development and improvements, especially improvements in technical results and improving indemnity control.
The role forms part of a team of 4 QA experts that work directly with claims and underwriting teams in London in terms of articulating quality assurance scores, action plans and progression upon them. The role will regularly facilitate conference calls to present and articulate the technical performance of the local claims team in KL.
