Claims Executive / Senior Claims Executive

Crawford & Company is seeking a Claims Executive to be based in Malaysia.

What to look forward to?

The Claims Executive will investigate and settle various property and casualty claims, work with established authority on moderate‑to‑difficult claims, review coverage, determine liability and compensability, collect information, and settle claims utilizing best practices. This role reports to the team in Singapore and may involve additional duties as business needs arise.

Your Responsibilities

• Process and verify new claims
• Manage settlement of claims
• Update client status and policy information
• Assess claims and negotiate settlement
• Identify fraudulent claims
• Adhere to strict service level standards
• Resolve enquiries from customers and elevate issues or complaints
• Keep records accurate and up to date
• Provide quality customer service and handle customers’ enquiries
• Request financial payments externally
• Uphold Crawford’s ethics and values

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any field
• At least 2 years of experience handling property and/or casualty claims
• BCBILA (Malaysia) and CGI (Singapore) qualifications desirable
• Written and spoken proficiency in English and Malay is compulsory
• Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin will be an advantage
• Knowledge of insurance industry and relevant regulations, including policy wording, end‑to‑end claims administration, adjudication, and registration
• Exceptional communication skills with tact and diplomacy respecting local cultures and customs
• Strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities, enabling accurate analysis and timely decisions
• Skilled in managing a diverse workload and adapting to evolving business needs, including alignment with Singapore working days
• Experience leading a team will be an advantage
