A laboratory service provider in Penang is seeking a qualified individual to oversee daily laboratory operations. Responsibilities include conducting chemical analyses, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standards, and maintaining quality control. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Bio-technology, or Food Technology, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good communication, teamwork, and an ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Organise and monitor daily laboratory operations.
• Carry out chemical analysis and review test procedures.

• Assist in investigation of customer complaints.

Job description

To organise, execute, coordinate, supervise and monitor daily laboratory operation

To carry out chemical analysis based on standard test procedure, to review the standard test procedure when necessary

To ensure the reliability and accuracy of analytical results and carry out quality control procedures

To ensure operation and safety of the laboratory

To maintain the SAMM accredited ISO 17025 system

To assist in investigation of customer complaint

Job requirements :

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Bio-technology, Food techology or equivalent.

At least 2 years of working experience in related industry.

Knowledge of ISO17025 procedures and documentation will be an added advantage.

Result oriented, hard working, team player, good communication skills and willing to learn.

Dedicated, well organised and able to work independently.
