A leading port facility located in Pasir Gudang is seeking a Chargeman Bo (11kv) to manage electrical maintenance and lead a team of technicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining effective support services. Applicants should possess a relevant engineering degree and Chargeman BO-11KV certification, alongside good physical health and leadership skills. This role also requires flexibility with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-5 years working experience required.

• Understanding of port material handling equipment and PLC systems is an advantage.

Job description

Chargeman Bo (11kv), Facility Management

Responsibilities

1. Plan, organize and implement a comprehensive program (including both corrective and preventive activities to electrical appliances & system) ensure smooth operation.
2. Liaise with relevant Authorities and vendors to ensure compliance of all the applicable laws, including Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and other regulatory governing bodies.
3. Lead and manage a team of wireman/ technicians & facility resources to provide effective and reliable support services for all M&R equipment and facilities.
4. Attend to electrical breakdown, trouble shooting and provide regular monthly or yearly maintenance.
5. Prepare and submit reports related to assign job function.
6. To carry out routine inspection and monitoring for HT and LV switchboards, bus-ducts, transformers, switchgears of M&R equipment.
7. Carry out schedule inspection and testing of RTG AC Generator.
8. Supervise external contractor’s works / service and monitor their performance.
9. Carry out in-house electrical works including maintenance, inspection and testing as assigned by the management.
10. Develop and maintain records and reports such as equipment and supplies inventories, damage reports, inventories, damage reports, preventive maintenance and repair records, key and lock index.

Qualifications

1. Possess a minimum Diploma /Degree in Engineering studies (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic/Automotive) or equivalent.
2. Chargeman with BO-11KV certified.
3. 1 – 5 years working experience.
4. In good physical condition to take maintenance and repair tasks without any major health problem.
5. Possess electrical and mechanical maintenance skills. Understanding with Port material handling equipment and PLC system is advantages.
6. Planning & organizing able to lead and manage team of wireman/technicians and facilities resources.
7. Posses good communication and writing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
8. Able to work in team.
9. Able to work at high places.
10. Able to work on Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays and after office hours if required.
