Our client is Malaysia's leading engineering and asset management consultancy firm and is looking for the above role.
The position must drive and lead the business to become a sustainably high performing organization in line with overall organization's direction and strategies and achieve maximum results in all aspects of the business compatible with the best long term interests and short term goals of its clients, people, finances and stakeholders.
Business Model, Direction & Plans
- Formulate and synergize short-term and long-term corporate plans and strategies including comprehensive evaluation of future opportunities, commercialization of new services and cross-business opportunities to sustain the business performance and growth. Drive and strategize within the Energy Efficiency (EE) or Renewable Energy (RE) industry, leveraging in-depth knowledge beyond engineering consultancy skillsets to focus on industry-specific innovations and advancements.
HSSE
- Communicate, interpret and champion the execution of the objectives and provisions of the Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies and undertake appropriate mitigation and/or intervention programmes to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony.
- Drive the development and implementation of a distinctive mindset, behavior and culture to achieve high work performance by adoption and implementation of value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instill high sense of commitment, ownership and integrity that will contribute to organizational excellence.
- Champion the development of competent leaders and a skilled workforce by fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth, ensuring the internalization of the right leadership and staff capabilities to meet current and future organizational needs. Drive initiatives in people development and succession management to secure high-performance delivery and build a robust talent pipeline for sustained success.
Customers & Stakeholders
- Strategize effective customer management including implementation of customer relationship programs to enhance and safeguard the business interest, image and reputation.
- Strategize in the management of stakeholders by prioritizing and determining strategic business alliances through regular engagements with partners, authorities, institutions, national and key industry players to keep abreast with socio economic and geopolitical events/changes that may impact the business interests with the objective of optimizing value creation.
- Drive and strategize development, improvement and applications of technology and best practices in client solutions and operations by keeping abreast with the business trends and market requirements, service feedback from customers in collaboration with technologists and solutionists to enhance market competitiveness, business sustainability and value creation.
Business Opportunity & Project Evaluation
- Lead and drive new business opportunities including establishing networks with strategic partners, reviewing market feasibility studies, marketing plans, short/mid-term market demand/supply, competition landscape, contract/deal making and project implementation plan to realize new business opportunities and sustain business growth.
- Drive the formulation and evaluation of strategic initiatives and projects throughout the business value chain that is in line with the overall corporate strategy to enhance business growth, profitability and sustainability.
Consultancy Services
- Strategize and drive consultancy services in project management, technical consultancy services and asset management that covers sectors such as highway, geotechnical, environmental, structural, pavement, transportation, mechanical, electrical and water to fulfill clients’ expectations and provide the assurance in delivering highly professional services that place significance in quality, thoroughness and timeliness.
Operational Excellence
- Lead and drive the formulation, adoption and implementation of fit‑for‑purpose organization framework and methodologies to increase operational performance and productivity as well as optimize cost effectively and manage resources efficiently to continuously secure customers’ and stakeholders’ satisfaction and confidence whilst heightening the company’s competitive advantage.
Governance
- Enforce the implementation of applicable procedures and guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements to ensure conformance to safeguard the company’s interest, image and reputation.
- Drive the formulation and management of the company resources, assets, liabilities and equities, in line with its short and long‑term interests to achieve the company’s revenue and expenditure targets, maximizing returns and value creation.
Brand Strategy and Image
- Formulate and strategize the organization brand, including its short to mid‑term branding strategy and brand image that connects to the overall business and marketing plans, and engagement and communication with stakeholders through selected media to distinguish and position the company’s brand image.
Requirements
- MBA/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Min 20 years’ experience with at least 10 years in senior management level exposure in asset consultancy, engineering and/or infrastructure services
- Visionary and strategic leadership. Strong leadership quality.
- Strong business acumen, decisive, good communication skills, people/staff development, creative and innovative.
- Exposure to Corporate Strategy, Financial and Corporate Governance.
- Possess a high level of integrity, result oriented.
- Broad knowledge of business functions.
