Responsibilities
- 1. Resource & Investment Promotion Management
a) Plan and coordinate the development and promotion of commercial sites within the campus in alignment with university requirements.
b) Manage investment promotion activities, including vendor sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding for campus commercial outlets.
c) Examine and verify merchant qualifications, licenses, and supporting documentation.
d) Coordinate and administer commercial contracts, including monitoring contract performance and compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
- 2. Operations and Service Supervision
a) Conduct regular and daily inspections of on-campus commercial outlets to ensure operational compliance and service standards.
b) Monitor commodity pricing, product quality, and service attitude to safeguard consumer rights and interests.
c) Handle feedback, complaints, and suggestions from staff and students related to commercial services and follow up on corrective actions where necessary.
d) Liaise with vendors to address operational issues and ensure continuous service improvement.
- 3. Cost & Safety Management
a) Calculate and assess the costs and benefits of campus commercial projects to support operational and financial efficiency.
b) Identify, investigate, and mitigate potential risks related to food safety, fire safety, and other operational hazards.
c) Ensure all merchants comply with campus safety management requirements, relevant regulations, and university policies.
- 4. Reporting, Coordination & Administrative Support
a) Prepare basic reports related to commercial operations, inspections, vendor performance, and compliance status.
b) Coordinate with internal departments on operational, safety, and administrative matters related to campus commercial activities.
- 5. Other Duties
a) Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department or the university’s management.
Requirements
- a) Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
- b) 2–5 years of relevant working experience in commercial operations, vendor management, retail, facilities, or hospitality-related roles.
- c) Good understanding of vendor coordination, basic contract administration, and commercial operations.
- d) Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and fire safety requirements is an advantage.
- e) Good command in Mandarin (spoken and written) is preferable for vendor and stakeholder communication.
- f) Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- g) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- h) Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- i) Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and conduct on-site inspections when required.
