ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Release material purchase order based on Oracle or SAP MRP PRs
  • Monitor & follow up shipments for suppliers to ensure OTD and actual delivery performance
  • Negotiate and manage suppliers’ lead time as well as production cycle time
  • Closely follow up suppliers for different material issues including but not limit to forecast upsides/delivery schedule in or out/Shipment hold/Cancelling/RMA/Logistics/GR/payment
  • Work with internal and external teams to clean dead stock and deal with slow moving and expiring/expired inventory timely
  • Work with internal teams to continue drive for system improvement including but not limit to Oracle, MRP/Data base etc. business processes.
  • Handle any material exception cases like material quality issues and work on alternative material supply. Interacts closely with suppliers, Quality Assurance and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
  • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Just In Time (JIT) or other production or material inventory program execution
  • Analyze safety stock level setting for component level
  • Evaluate, report and manage supplier performance and improvement from supply point of view (Capacity/LT/OTD/OTC/Rescheduling)
  • Other tasks assigned by managers
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • More than 5 years working experience of MRP/Buyer in manufacturing industry, related industry like EMS or Electronic preferred
  • Excellent English both oral and written
  • Good command of MS Office software, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience of using ERP system like Oracle or SAP and purchasing related reports
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with supplier or other related departments

  • Proactive, self-motivated and be with initiative, courage, and integrity.
  • Strong analysis and summary ability, able to work under pressure.
