About the role
Paul‑Tec Security Asia is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for Paul‑Tec’s electronic, CCTV, AI and integrated security solutions across government, critical infrastructure, commercial, and enterprise sectors.
What you'll be doing
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Develop and execute a regional business development strategy aligned with Paul‑Tec’s growth objectives across Asia
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new security solution opportunities
- Drive the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and solution positioning through to contract negotiation and closure
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, delivering forecast accuracy and revenue targets
- Identify, onboard, and manage regional partners, integrators, consultants, and distributors
- Build mutually beneficial channel relationships to extend Paul‑Tec’s regional reach
- Support partners with enablement, joint go‑to‑market initiatives, and opportunity development
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers across government, enterprise, transport, utilities, and critical infrastructure sectors
- Lead customer presentations, workshops, and high‑level solution discussions
- Act as a regional point of contact for strategic accounts and major opportunities
- Monitor regional market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory environments
- Provide insights and recommendations to support product positioning and regional strategy
- Identify emerging opportunities within smart cities, critical infrastructure protection, and advanced security technologies
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, operations, project delivery, and executive teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements
- Support bid and tender responses, including solution design, pricing strategy, and partner alignment
What we're looking for
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in business development or sales within the security, technology, or systems integration industry
- Proven success selling security systems or complex technical solutions across multiple Asian markets
- Demonstrated experience managing regional accounts or territories
- Strong background working with partners, consultants, and system integrators
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure complex deals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at executive level
- Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability
- Ability to work independently across diverse cultures and markets
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Security Management, or related discipline
- Experience with government or critical infrastructure projects in Asia
- Familiarity with security technologies such as access control, CCTV, PSIM, perimeter protection, and integrated security platforms
- Multilingual capability (e.g. Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, or other Asian languages) is an advantage
