This Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding market presence across the fastener industry. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and delivering sustainable profitability across multiple markets. You will collaborate cross-functionally to align commercial initiatives with company goals, while acting as a key ambassador of the TR value proposition.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute regional growth strategies focused on revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across selected territories.
- Maintain and convert a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with key accounts and prospects.
- Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance and uncover growth opportunities.
- Ensure customer feedback is captured and acted upon across business units.
Sales Execution & Profitability
- Negotiate and secure new accounts, cross-sell TR products, and promote the TR value proposition.
- Monitor customer margin levels and implement pricing strategies to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and high service levels.
Contract & Pricing Management
- Lead contract negotiations and manage customer agreements.
- Implement price adjustments in line with market conditions and company policy.
- Respond to sales inquiries with timely, effective solutions.
Market Intelligence & Product Positioning
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform product development and sales strategy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TR’s product portfolio and sales tools.
- Provide insights to support innovation and customer-centric offerings.
Skills and Experience
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in business development or sales, ideally in fasteners, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Sales Expertise: Proven ability to manage pipelines, close deals, and exceed KPIs.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with experience in account management and customer retention.
- Negotiation & Communication: Excellent presentation and contract negotiation skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse trends and develop market-specific strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and D365.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel across Europe; full clean driving license required.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English required; additional Asian languages are a strong asset. Cultural awareness and cross-border experience strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
