Business Development Manager (Dark Fiber)

We are looking for a talented Business Development Manager for an established MNC that specializes in Dark Fiber & Connectivity solutions.

Reporting to: Managing Director

Location: Kuala Lumpur

The Role
  • Strategic Business Development: Drive revenue by targeting high-value sectors (hyperscalers, telcos, and data centers) for dark fiber, duct leasing, and IRU agreements.
  • End-to-End Sales Leadership: Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and technical solutioning to high-stakes negotiation and closing.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with C-level stakeholders and infrastructure planners to drive renewals and network expansions.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategy: Track hyperscale builds and competitor trends to provide data-driven input for new route developments and pricing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, legal, and delivery teams to ensure technical-commercial alignment and accurate project implementation.
The Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma or equivalent sales training or experience.
  • Experience in dark fiber, telco wholesale, carrier services, or enterprise network sales.
  • Business development and/or project development track record, with experience in planning and/or implementing fibre connectivity for datacentres.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory environment and market space.
