Job Description
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Business Development Manager to support our expansion efforts in the gaming industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities including licensing, publishing, and co-development partnerships.
- Communicate effectively with external stakeholders including game developers, publishers, platforms, and agencies.
- Review, draft, and negotiate business contracts, particularly in English and Chinese.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing partners, ensuring alignment on business goals and performance KPIs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks in the global gaming landscape.
- Coordinate with internal teams (legal, product, marketing, finance) to execute deals and ensure partner requirements are met.
- Represent the company at international events, conferences, and exhibitions, including overseas travel when required.
- Prepare and present business reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Demonstrate proven experience in analyzing the gaming market and identifying growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or corporate strategy (preferably in the gaming, entertainment, or tech industries).
- Proficiency in business-level English and Chinese (Mandarin)—both written and spoken.
- Solid understanding of international business etiquette and cross-border negotiation practices.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting English-language contracts and legal documents.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with proven ability to build long-term relationships.
- Strong analytical mindset with an ability to assess market dynamics and partner value.
- Must have no restrictions on international travel for participation in overseas exhibitions.
- Proven experience in analyzing the gaming market.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the gaming industry, especially in mobile or online games.
- Familiarity with Southeast Asian and global gaming markets.
- Prior participation in global trade shows (e.g., GDC, Gamescom, ChinaJoy, Tokyo Game Show).
- Capability to handle multiple projects and partnerships across time zones.
- Passion for games and emerging entertainment technologies.
