Job summary

A leading renewable energy company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a sales professional to develop and execute strategies for growing the Residential Solar business. You will generate leads through various channels, conduct site surveys with the technical team, and educate homeowners on solar benefits. The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering or Business and 2-5 years of experience in sales or business development. Proficiency in both English and Malay is required, and Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Experience in solar or renewable energy is highly preferred.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.

Job description

Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the Residential Solar business (3–15 kWp segment).

Generate new leads through networking, partnerships, events, referrals, and digital channels.

Conduct site surveys with technical team and prepare customer proposals.

Educate homeowners on solar benefits, ATAP scheme, ROI, payback period, and system performance.

Conduct customer needs analysis and design suitable solar solutions with the engineering team.

Present proposals clearly and professionally (ROI breakdown, 0-capex options, loan/financing).

Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and new technologies in residential solar.

Identify market opportunities and propose new packages or campaigns to management.

Support marketing in crafting customer-facing messages, brochures, and campaigns.

Work closely with engineering, operations, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Prepare weekly sales pipeline, forecast reports, and monthly performance summaries.

Ensure all customer documentation—ATAP submissions, TNB forms, agreements—are complete and accurate.

Qualifications / Requirements
Education & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related fields.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or related roles.

Experience in solar, renewable energy, home solutions, or electrical industry is highly preferred.

Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.

Excellent communication skills in English and Malay; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Good understanding of solar PV basics (kWp, inverter, ROI, ATAP, TNB process).

Ability to conduct site visits and explain solutions to customers confidently.

Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Suite; familiar with CRM tools.

Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.

Willing to travel to customer sites around Klang Valley (or designated region).
