Job description

Purpose

Leads and completes the elicitation of business requirements and their translation into solution requirements to ensure their implementation throughout the project life cycle. This role generally involves coordinating the work of other Business Analysts to deliver required outputs or delivering multiple requirements as part of a moderate to large high-risk independent project.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Describe as-is-to-be models as part of the requirements elicitation process.
  2. Adapt to and apply different delivery methodologies.
  3. Plan, conduct, facilitate elicitation sessions, and ensure production of associated deliverables.
  4. Understand customers' objectives, processes, and products to make informed recommendations.
  5. Assist the project manager in building the business case, including cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and high-level planning.
  6. Produce requirement specifications and outline solution design documents throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating change requests and finalizing requirements documentation.
  7. Plan and follow-up on Business Analyst activities, analyze and manage requirement risks, maintain traceability matrices, and prioritize requirements.
  8. Support development of test plans, testing, implementation, and training activities; perform quality review checks on solutions.
  9. Support post-implementation activities, including problem-solving and measuring benefits.
