Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking a qualified individual for maintenance operations in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves conducting inspections, overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Applicants must have at least a diploma in a relevant field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related position. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this position. Shift work may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections for building common areas and systems.
  • Perform technical inspections on chillers and air handling units.
  • Support facilities team with daily checklists and tenant inquiries.
  • Supervise maintenance and repairs by contractors.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To conduct mandatory routine inspections for building at common areas including electrical, air‑conditioning system, wiring, fire protection, plumbing system and to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently;
  • To perform regular technical inspections on building chiller, coolers and Air Handling Unit (AHUs) for commercial air‑conditioning;
  • To support the building facilities team with the daily routine checklist and follow‑ups with tenants’ inquiries and requests including building’s air‑conditioning issues;
  • Monitoring and supervising maintenance and repair works carried out by contractors.
  • Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and daily inspection relating to building mechanical equipment.
  • To ensure compliance to safety standards and good practices during operation and/or maintenance of the facilities equipment.
  • To perform any other tasks as and when assigned from time to time.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess minimum SPM/Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering/Civil/Mechanical or equivalent and with minimum of 2 years experience in related field.
  • Experience in handling commercial building AHU & Electrical.
  • Prior experience within the environment of Commercial building with good knowledge & experience with plumbing and electrical system would be an added advantage.
  • Extremely organized with good communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail‑orientated with an aptitude for problem‑solving.
  • Able to work on shift mode (3 shifts) and public holidays.
