Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is looking for a BIM modeler based in Puchong, Selangor. The role requires at least 1 year of experience in BIM within MEP engineering, proficiency in Revit MEP, and skills in CAD software. Responsibilities include developing detailed design drawings up to LOD 450, modeling various systems, and coordinating with engineers and clients. Candidates should be hardworking and willing to learn, with the ability to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, or Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year experience in BIM within MEP engineering.
• Experience of more than 1 year is preferred.
• Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings using Revit MEP up to LOD 450.
• Model HVAC ducting, plumbing piping, and fire protection systems.
• Convert Revit models to CAD, DWF, and PDF formats.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure quality control in BIM modeling.

BIM modeler (Based at Puchong, Selangor)

Locate at Bandar Puteri, Puchong Selangor.

Job Responsibilities

Develop detailed design drawings using Revit MEP up to LOD 450 including Revit parametric Family creation

able to operate on autodesk contruction cloud (ACC) and using the BIM Collaborator Pro.

Modelling the Conduit runs, conduit Racks, Cable trays, Panels/switch gear/Equipment ceiling with all lighting fixtures.

Modelling the HVAC Ducting, Plumbing Piping, Fire protection System, equipment and technical piping etc.,

Understanding the Electrical, Mechanical design intents to convert the 2D drawings to 3D revit modelling

Conversion of Revit models to other formats such as CAD, DWF & PDF.

Develops 2D installation drawings and detail drawings from 3D model or sketches

Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modeling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.

Learn to use tools such as Navisworks for clash detections among all trade models (MEP)

Able to interpret and execute based on the BIM execution plan

Requirements

Must have at least 1 year experience BIM with MEP engineering enviroment

An experience of more than 1 year is prefered.

Required skills: Cad Software, Microsoft Word & Excel (Computer literate)

Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia OR Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate or Diploma in Electrical engineering/Mechanical Engineering/CAD or equivalent
