Job summary

A leading design firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to oversee BIM processes for high-end hospitality projects. Responsibilities include managing Revit model coordination, conducting audits for quality assurance, and mentoring team members. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of BIM experience in similar environments, along with strong leadership and communication skills. BIM Coordinator (Malaysians Only) — Multiple Positions Available

We are looking for experienced BIM Coordinators to lead BIM workflows, maintain model quality, and support our Architectural and Interior Design teams throughout all project stages. This role focuses on delivering high-end hospitality projects while ensuring alignment with BIM standards, coordination procedures, and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Architectural and Interior Design Revit models for luxury hospitality projects.
• Lead model coordination cycles and manage federated models (Concept–DD2).
• Ensure smooth collaboration via Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360), including model sharing, version control, and file management.

Model Quality & Standards

• Conduct routine model audits to ensure compliance with standards, templates, and naming conventions.
• Ensure Revit files meet LOD requirements and are optimized for documentation.
• Review structural and MEP consultant models for accuracy and alignment with design intent.

Documentation & Deliverables

• Assist teams in preparing coordinated drawing sets for DD1 and DD2 submissions.
• Generate coordination reports, model health summaries, and 3D views for reviews.
• Support visualization workflows when needed (Enscape, Navisworks, model exports).

BIM Process Development

• Maintain and continuously improve BIM templates, CAD standards, and project setup workflows.
• Create and monitor Model Production Delivery Tables (MPDT) for project milestones.

Training & Team Development

• Train architects and modelers on Revit, BIM standards, and troubleshooting.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing support to ensure consistent BIM competency.
• Mentor junior team members toward advanced modeling proficiency.

Communication & Coordination

• Act as the primary BIM point-of-contact for internal teams and consultants.
• Support Project Architects with coordination for complex building typologies (podiums, water villas, elevated structures).
• Manage IFC exchanges, model transfers, and documentation handovers.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in Revit (Architecture).
• Strong experience with Navisworks Manage (clash detection, viewpoints, reporting).
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360.
• Understanding of LOD 100–350 modeling and documentation workflows.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Leadership ability to guide architects and modelers, and support new joiners.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and project priorities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of BIM experience, preferably in luxury or high‑end hospitality projects.
• Experience coordinating large‑scale or multi‑building developments is preferred.
