Overview

Company:MMC Corporate Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS) . This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.

AVP Insurance Operations - SG market

We will count on you to:

  • Client On-Boarding
  • Arrange for new clients to be set up on our systems, monitor progress of on-boarding/due diligence of clients, intermediaries, and markets. Liaison with country business teams.
  • File appropriate documentation (covering BOR, ToE etc.)
  • Assist country business teams with updating / monitoring of MPower.
  • Renewal & Placement
  • Help prepare, and review renewal reports prepared by the Pre-Renewal Team
  • Identify any risks that are not required, 90 days ahead of the renewal date.
  • Working with the CE to ensure that all documents are accurate and ready to proceed with the renewal.
  • Review of risks being renewed and checking to see that the relevant premium has been paid to insurers.
  • Follow up with insurers on risk / exposure related matters (renewal and ongoing placement maintenance).
  • Support implementation of insurance contract through the Marsh Digital Trading Platform, where applicable.
  • Ensure appropriate records of CE’s negotiations/communications with client and insurers is maintained and filed.
  • Where applicable, issuance of Confirmation letters and liaise with insurers on Certificates.
  • Support on preparation of premium and allocation schedules.
  • Review and check all documentation for content accuracy in accordance with:
  • Client First Principles and Quality Assurance Checklists
  • Marsh Compliance Standards
  • Policy Servicing
  • Monitor and manage workflow, coordinate the flow of business into Client Servicing Teams
  • Review and respond to queries emanating from Marsh Operations and manage these to close in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely authorisation of documentation, and distribution to client service teams – insurer policy documentation, debit notes, invoices and evidence of cover.
  • Develop and sustain supportive and productive working relationship with both CE/Broker and Policy Servicing teams.
  • Where required, assist with Fiduciary related queries (funds not received, funds received not paid to insurers) by working with other Kuala Lumper based support teams on the ground.
  • Other:
  • Set and achieve specific goals as evidenced in Workday
  • Complete mandatory training requirements as may be required from time to time by the firm and within the timeframes given
  • Complete the Firm’s CPD requirements, currently 35 hours per year, in a timely manner.
  • Client and prospect discovery projects – news article and insurance related websites.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience in the insurance industry
  • Interpersonal skills – includes country business teams, clients and insurers
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to cope with cyclical nature of the business
