A prominent manufacturing company in Port Klang seeks an Automation Engineer to manage and implement automation projects. The role involves conducting feasibility studies, hands-on engineering design, and troubleshooting automation systems. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering field and have at least 2 years of experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, alongside a willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
Conduct feasibility studies, plan, manage, and implement assigned automation projects.
Perform engineering design, PLC programming, electrical wiring, mechanical fabrication, and machine/equipment assembly with strong hands‑on involvement.
Support and execute improvement initiatives for existing automation machines and equipment.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely technical support for automation systems.
Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and user manuals for automation systems.
Monitor and evaluate system performance to ensure reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Research, recommend, and implement new automation technologies to enhance productivity and reduce manual processes.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Automation, or other related engineering fields.
Experience in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and PLC programming will be an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in handling automation projects (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
Willing to work in Port Klang.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics applications.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex automation problems.
Hands‑on skills in installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems.
Ability to prepare and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under minimum supervision.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
