A prominent recruitment agency is seeking an Audit Senior Executive to lead diverse audit engagements, review junior staff work, and ensure high-quality deliverables. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of Malaysian SMEs and Chinese investors. As an Audit Senior Executive, you will lead audit engagements, review junior staff work, and ensure high-quality audit deliverables. You'll be part of a collaborative and tech-driven team that values continuous learning and efficiency.
Lead audit engagements - Plan and execute comprehensive audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of SME and group clients spanning multiple industries, gaining broad exposure and deepening your technical knowledge.
Review and quality assurance - Review audit working papers prepared by junior staff members, ensuring full compliance with MPERS, MFRS, and ISA standards while maintaining the firm’s high quality benchmarks.
Financial analysis and reporting - Perform analytical reviews and assess the accuracy, completeness, and validity of financial statements, before preparing and finalizing audit reports, management letters, and supporting documentation.
Problem-solving and advisory - Identify accounting or internal control issues during engagements and propose practical, value-adding recommendations that help clients strengthen their financial processes.
Client and stakeholder management - Liaise professionally with clients, auditors, tax teams, and company secretaries to ensure smooth audit processes and maintain strong working relationships.
Team development and mentorship - Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit team members, helping them build their technical and professional skills while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Continuous improvement - Participate in process improvement and digitalization initiatives that enhance audit efficiency and contribute to the firm’s innovation agenda.
Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent.
Experience: 2-5 years of external audit experience in an accounting or professional services firm.
Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software.
Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese proficiency for client communication.
