Responsibilities

• Perform audit assignments for clients ranging from various industries.
• Keep updated of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
• Communicate professionally within the team and with external parties to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
• Collaborate with audit partners and managers to resolve technical accounting and auditing issues as they arise.
• Lead and manage a team of Audit Associates.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documentation prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform ad-hoc duties (financial due diligence, IPOs, corporate exercises, etc.), as necessary.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree/Postgraduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking.
• A member of ACCA/MIA/MICPA/ICAEW or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience gained in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable and experience on CCH/Inflo System.
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms will be a given preference.
• Required Language: Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
