Job summary

A leading financial institution in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a candidate to support the development and management of electronic banking channels. This role involves working closely with regional teams to enhance product offerings and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has a degree and 2-4 years of relevant banking experience, with strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach. Qualifications

Position Purpose

To support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of MUFG’s electronic banking channels and digital connectivity solutions for Transaction Banking clients. The role involves assisting in product development, implementation support, channel performance tracking, regulatory compliance, and operational coordination with regional and local stakeholders to ensure high-quality digital service delivery to clients.

Product Management & Support
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of electronic banking channels, including host-to-host, internet banking, API, and SWIFT connectivity.
  • Support product development and enhancement initiatives to align with regional strategy and market requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain product documentation, operating procedures, and marketing materials.
  • Support pricing, billing setup, and product profitability tracking.
  • Coordinate with IT and Operations to ensure system stability, incident resolution, and smooth client onboarding.
Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with regional product teams and Head Office to implement global product initiatives and system upgrades.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Implementation, and Operations to deliver seamless client experience across product lifecycle.
  • Liaise with external vendors or service providers on system-related enhancements or issue resolution where applicable.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure product operations and enhancements comply with regulatory and internal policies, including IT risk and operational control standards.
  • Support documentation reviews, testing, and process updates as part of audit or control requirements.
  • Monitor product risk indicators and escalation potential issues promptly.
  • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and contribute to risk assessments or product reviews.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Track and analyze channel utilization, client adoption, and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and market benchmarking on channel performance and competition.
  • Conduct periodic industry and market research to support product roadmap and new initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Transaction Banking, Cash Management, Digital Channels, or related technology-driven banking role.
  • Exposure to channel management, system implementation, or product development preferred.
  • Understanding of electronic banking systems, connectivity (Host-to-Host, SWIFT, API), and ISO 20022 standards an advantage.
  • Experience working with regional or cross-functional teams will be an added benefit.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder communication skills across internal and regional teams.
  • Detail‑oriented with sound understanding of risk control, compliance, and operational processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Curious and proactive learner with interest in digital innovation, fintech, and transaction banking trends.
  • Team player with ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal); additional Asian language proficiency is a plus.
