We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Associate Director, Financial Control. Reporting to the Director, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Fund Services and its growth.

Responsibilities
  • R2R Process Ownership
  • Lead end-to-end R2R operations including general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, and financial close processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • SAP S/4HANA Expertise
  • Leverage deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (or SAP ECC FI) to optimize R2R workflows.
  • Drive automation and standardization of R2R processes using SAP tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and transformation teams to implement system enhancements and resolve issues.
  • Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, IFRS compliance, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and timely responses.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants and analysts, both onshore and offshore.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business units and shared service centers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Strategic Initiatives
  • Lead or support finance transformation projects, including process redesign and system integration.
  • Drive KPIs such as close cycle time, automation rate, compliance rate, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key requirements
  • Relevant Experience Minimum 10 year experience in related field.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Finance and/or Accounting or an equivalent qualification, Information Systems, Management, Project Management, Business/Administration.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Team player with good people and communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills to meet multiple deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Proven experience in change management, negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Agile and able to think out of box for creative solutions process improvements.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated with ability to deal with ambiguities, able to work within ill-defined boundaries.
