Responsibilities

  • Implement sustainability governance and develop sustainability blueprint.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics.
  • Oversee sustainability projects, ensuring they meet budget and timelines.
  • Support preparation of the Sustainability Report and integrated annual report.
  • Identify opportunities for improving sustainability practices.
  • Prepare presentation materials and set agendas for meetings.
  • Develop sustainability awareness strategies and facilitate CSR events.
  • Assist in the company's ESG reporting strategy and compliance.
  • Stay informed about ESG regulations.
  • Maintain and update sustainability website content.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Job description

This is a full-time role based in Subang Jaya, Selangor, working for Salcon Berhad. As the Assistant Manager - Sustainability, you will play a key role in overseeing the company's sustainability initiatives.

What you’ll be doing
  • Sustainability Strategy: Implementing sustainability governance, developing a sustainability blueprint. Develop and executive initiatives and procedures aligned with standards, reporting and disclosure requirements. Assist in creating and implementing strategies that align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics and performance indicators.
  • Project Management: Oversee sustainability projects, ensuring they meet budget and timeline constraints.
  • Reporting: Support the preparation of the Sustainability Report and the integrated annual report.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving sustainability practices and corporate performance.
  • Management/Board Meetings: Prepare presentation materials, set agendas, and follow up on action items.
  • Awareness and Engagement: Develop sustainability awareness strategies and facilitate CSR events, training, Company events and social media content.
  • ESG Compliance: Assist in the development and execution of the company's ESG reporting strategy and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Stay informed about ESG regulations and ensure alignment with requirements.
  • Website Administration: Maintain and update sustainability and corporate website content.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks and projects as required.
What we’re looking for

Education: Bachelor’s or professional degree in a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 - 10 years in related fields, with experience in sustainability/ESG reporting and annual report production.
