Job summary

A leading healthcare company located in Klang City, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified individual to support the Head of Supply Chain in optimizing supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will have a degree with at least 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in manufacturing. Strong leadership and communication skills in English and Malay are essential, alongside problem-solving capabilities. You will be tasked with vendor evaluation, price negotiations, and managing employee training needs, contributing to the achievement of the company's objectives.

Job description

To assist the Head of Supply Chain to lead, plan and organize the supply chain activities.

To assist the Head of Supply Chain to assess and implement the supply chain system and function throughout Company for cost and operation effectiveness.

To assist the Head of Supply Chain to manage people development and accommodate employees' training needs.

To assist the Head of Supply Chain to prepare and execute the supply chain short-term and long-term plan to achieve the Company's objectives.

To work closely with operation HODs, to ensure the continuity and full integration of the supply chain functions.

Recognizing and identifying errors or inconsistencies and requesting contingency plans, such as developing alternatives sources, vendors etc.

Sourcing for new vendors and materials and evaluating their potential to company needs.

To ensure the purchase material is properly evaluated and meets the company quality requirements.

Negotiate and evaluate for material price, term & conditions is competitive to company needs.

To understand and comply with company policies and directives.

Overseeing ISO documents to ensure their effectiveness and are up to date.

To take part in complaints, investigation and preventive action.

Support and resolves daily team related issues.

Performing other duties or project as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Degree with 5 years working experience in related field preferably with manufacturing background.

Good communication in English and Malay.

Strong leadership quality, passion for the job and highly motivated.

Good interpersonal skill, negotiation skill, self-motivated, details oriented, mature and an excellent team player.

Be resourceful, dynamic, and strong problem-solving skills.

Able to work under pressure and continuously improve with good adaptability in accepting and managing changes as well as meeting deadlines.

Able to organize complex workload and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
