A leading food production company in Malaysia seeks an Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance for their Poultry Feed Mill. The role involves developing and implementing food safety and quality assurance programs, monitoring critical control points, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Food Science and experience in quality management. The position offers a chance to lead a dynamic team dedicated to quality improvement and compliance.
Responsible for developing and establishing food safety and quality assurance programs, policies and procedures to ensure highest quality and safety standards of products.
Establish and monitor effective sampling, recording and analysis of test results for process control verification for all Critical Control Points (CCP) including pathogen reduction standards and focus on continuous improvement process.
To co-chair and coordinate the Quality Improvement Team setting and controlling feed mill production standards, ingredient purchasing specifications and finished products QA & QC procedures.
Develop and maintain a systematic approach for document management of the QA/QC Department and quality SOPs of the production process
To ensure compliance of HACCP Regulations in order to meet stringent quality expectation by customers and regulatory bodies.
To comply with DOE, MOH and DOSH regulations particularly scheduled waste management and MSDS management.
To conduct process audit and verification (eg. homogeneity test, cross‑contamination test, balling test, machine cleanliness, pelleting temperature) to make sure feed process control is in place and adherence to schedule.
Conduct research and analysis on existing quality assurance procedures and provide recommendations to enhance the quality management of the feed‑milling processes.
To plan work schedules and execute laboratory tests and equipment calibration effectively and timely.
To monitor, analyze and feedback the laboratory test results to the management for strategic decision making.
To continuously train and upgrade the skill and knowledge of subordinates and motivate subordinates to enable them to work together effectively and productively.
To respond to customer requests and external audits in order to ensure compliance in specified timeframe.
To perform any other tasks or assignments as directed by the Management from time to time.
