Job summary

A manufacturing company in Chemor, Malaysia, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the production process, ensure quality standards, and manage resources effectively. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor production to resolve issues
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
  • Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
  • Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Enforce health and safety precautions
  • Report to upper management
  • Experience in directing and supervising production personnel
  • Possess technical knowledge and be adapt at all phases of the textile manufacturing processes
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Power Point, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to analysis and decision making
  • Team work and good leadership
  • Ability to lead and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong Customer Service mind set
  • Ability to become good motivator
  • Ability to understand cost containment and budgetary principles
  • Able to follow up upon required by HOD for all matter related to Department
Qualifications
  • BSc/Ba in business administration or relevant field is preferred
