Job summary

A leading company in Automotive and Industrial Equipment is seeking a skilled individual for a Rewards Management role based in Malaysia. The successful candidate will perform benchmarking studies, assist in the review of rewards policies, and manage compensation frameworks. Required qualifications include a degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of HR experience, with a focus on rewards. This role offers the opportunity to impact company strategies significantly and enhance employee engagement across the organization.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years’ experience in a human resource/management role, including 4 years in a Rewards specialist role.
  • Strong analytical skill with good command of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proficiency in HR Systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Perform benchmarking studies and research for market competitiveness.
  • Assist in reviewing policies and guidelines for competitiveness.
  • Participate in communication and feedback processes for policy improvement.
  • Draft papers for the Remuneration Committee and Board.
  • Manage guaranteed and variable compensation policies.
  • Support Employee Engagement program design and implementation.

Job description
  • Performing benchmarking studies and research to determine latest thinking and external competitiveness with general market and comparator companies across the Group.
  • Assist the Head of Rewards & Performance Management in review of policies, guidelines and processes to ensure competitiveness and compliance (if relevant).
  • Proactively taking part in ongoing communication, obtaining of feedback, maintaining and continuously improving on policies, guidelines and processes.
  • Assist the Head of Rewards & Performance Management in the drafting of Remuneration Committee and Board papers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with representatives from leading companies and industry experts
  • Assist in job evaluation exercise and process across the Group. Conduct Job Evaluations for L1’s/ Top Management for the Group.
  • Manage the guaranteed compensation (salary, fixed allowances), variable compensation (performance bonus), benefits and perquisites, recognition programs, long-term incentive plan and International Mobility (expatriates / assignees) policies and framework.
  • Support Group Employees Engagement program in the design and implementation of Rewards related action plans.
  • Manage and develop communication content and materials for rewards and performance related activities.
  • Benchmark performance management practices within different companies and recommend improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with Division HR representatives to ensure successful development, implementation and deployment of all Performance Management initiatives.
Skills and Experience
  • Degree in Human Resource, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in a human resource / management role (including at least 4 years in a Rewards specialist role).
  • Strong analytical skill with good command of Microsoft Excel, Power Point Presentation and Word.
  • Proficient to HR Systems will be an added advantage.
