Job summary

A leading data centre provider in Kuala Selangor is seeking an Assistant Manager for Learning and Development. In this role, you will manage training and development initiatives aligned with business strategies, ensuring effective onboarding and talent development. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Learning and Development, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and outstanding communication skills. Qualifications

  • Ability to work directly with Senior Management in a matrix organization.
  • Must be comfortable facilitating in-person and virtual training programs.

Assistant Manager, Learning and Development
Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, evaluate and analyze all learning initiatives in support of the business' people strategy and priorities
  • Manage the overall training and development curriculum, and training resources
  • Implement the L&D initiatives locally
  • Conduct and design global training workshops, courses, as well as career plans
  • Maintaining budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants
  • Lead the design of talent development initiatives across offices and curate a culture that empowers the talent capabilities of the organisation
  • Support the development of new joiners through onboarding, training and coaching
  • Collect, analyse and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning)
  • Develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning
  • Identify performance gaps and work with managers to develop and implement appropriate training to improve performance
  • Drive brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities
  • Assists with the development of the Training budget as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years in Learning and Development including talent management working experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Ability to work directly with Senior Management and manage within a matrix organization.
  • Must be comfortable facilitating in-person stand-up training and virtual training programs through MS Teams.
  • Proven stakeholder management & relationship building capabilities.
  • Experienced with fast-paced large volume, dynamic, complex, international operations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & oral).
